I've only come across this once. In thread http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055669111 I see a user thanked another by mistake and may / may not tried to remove it. However, and empty thanksbox is still visible (in FF/IE)

Happens when the amount of thanks on a post doesn't get decremented correctly after a thank is removed.

There are maintenance scripts for it which don't get run often, I should schedule some time for it. That particular instance is fixed now.
