i did google sipo and got the standards in public office, which is confusing, generation yes is an interest group, what that has to do with public office i dont know, and so what if i dont know what sipo is, no reason to insult me.
and do These table quizes happen to be on the same time as ogra fianna fail meeting?

Oscar Bravo already answered your first "point"-thanks for that!

No these table quizes don't happen at the same time, place, or have anything to do with FF ogra. There is NO connection between the two and to my knowledge no overlap in membership of any substance. Once again, this could've been found out by you with 5 minutes of your time and basic google skills.

I'm now tired of holding your hand so from now on find out things like this yourself.

im sorry wheelie but there is a link between ogra fianna fail and generation yes, that facebook page proves it
"Generation Yes are holding a table quiz at the same venue from 7.30pm - it will be a great way to mix and mingle with the gang, many of whom will also be travelling long distances to be at the event." this event being ogras lisbon campaign launch.

Don't worry about Generation Yes. It's not as if anyone pays attention to them anyway.;)

the point is fairly irrelevant anyway.

last time round - ff, fg and labour were behind lisbon

yet it was voted down - now tell me that those three parties did not hold a big majority of supporters and votes.
Eneough to easily win a yes vote - had it been about suporting your political party of choice

which is nonsense - political parties are not a soccer team nor a superhero you should not follow all they do because your family did and because they seem great and all powerfulll.

yes i know, but it still doesnt take away the fact that they are linked to ogra fianna fail.

oh and it only took me 5 minutes to find that info on google

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,985 ✭✭✭skelliser

i agree if its irrelevent why are they denying links with ogra ff

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,653 ✭✭✭conchubhar1

I would deny links with ógra fianna fáil.

    It just makes sense...

Congrats you learned how to use a search engine. At least I'll come away from this relationship feeling like I taught you something.

You refered to Gen Yes as "mindless indoctrinated ff automaton gob****es"

Further to that you implied they received funding from the EU, the State and FF.

None of that is true. I'll take my hat off to you, your Woodward and Bernstein-like skills have uncovered that the Gen YES Limerick branch and the FF Ogra Limerick branch are having an event in the same venue and the organiser of the FF highlighted this on his FB page. I wasn't aware of that.

It still doesn't prove your earlier bulls**t allegations. They are launching a Pro-Lisbon campaign, Limerick University probably doesn't have a massive political community, I'm sure there will be members of the Young Greens, YFG and Labour Youth along with FF Ogra in attendance-seeing as they are all supporting the Lisbon Treaty.

I gave you my political biography to dispell any myths you propogated about Gen YES being "mindless indoctrinated ff automaton gob****es"-you mightn't have asked for it directly but it was most certainly relevant to your baseless allegations.

Further what question exactly didn't Storonius answer- I thought I answered them all?

Congrats again on the investigative journalism-I'm sure your Pulitzer's in the post

Once again "Cicero" you called Gen YES a FF "****-fest".........

    I'll gladly deny that.

ah sarcasm - always there when you have nothing else to use and to deflect from the argument.

thank you, id like to thank the academy....

i asked storonius was he a member of ff/ogra ff, if you bothered to read my post you would have seen that, but for some reason you attempted to answer for him. He has not answered my question.

oh and these ogra members are quite found of generation yes

Anymore evidence other than the two groups having a quiz at different times on the same evening and they both want Yes votes and so may socialise with each other!

    He's not.

    Look skelliser, seriously now.

Gen YES are not a ff mouthpiece, they are exactly what they say they are, young volunteers who want Lisbon to pass.

I've already explained to you how FF, FG, Lisbon and the Greens are all pro-lisbon, thus the fact that the joined Gen Yes's FB page doesn't surprise me. Try searching for an overlap with any other political party. Or use your research skills to see how many of GEN YES facebook fans are not a mamber of any political party.

I don't see why you're trying so hard to associate the two? Your search brought up 28 results? Out of how many Gen YES facebook fans? Nearly two and half thousand? What's YOUR agenda?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,985 ✭✭✭skelliser

so are you saying that members of ogra fianna fail are members of generation yes?

    What?

Is the whole point of this thread now down to a few Ogra FF members being in Gen Yes? Is the whole problem that Ogra FF members should be banned from being members of Gen Yes?

@wheelie why are you again answering for storonius?

i think its only fair that we find out how much generation yes and ogra fianna fail are linked.

How do you define "linked"? If you mean that some OFF members are also GY members, I think that's already clear. Who cares? Do you feel that OFF members should be precluded from GY membership, and if so, why?

Or do you mean something else by "linked", and if so, what?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,653 ✭✭✭conchubhar1

i didnt say that - your belittled the posters point by using sarcasm (lowest form of wit and argument)

so i merely mentioned ''guilt by association'' through a well known example

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,985 ✭✭✭skelliser

btw, i have no agenda and i voted yes before

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,985 ✭✭✭skelliser

well answer me this, is it by shear coincidence that ogra fianna fail had there lisbon launch party weekend at the same venue and just after a generation yes table quiz/fundraiser?

Well, this seems to be the only proof provided by the OP.

    It could be!

If you can find more occurrences you might have a good point!

It would appear from your painstaking research that people who identify themselves as members of Ogra on Facebook have also become members of the Gen YES facebook page.

    SO what?

I've already said this is most likely the case with all political parties.

Do you think we should prohibit cross-membership? If so why?

And will you retract your comments about Gen YES being mindless indoctrinated ff automaton gob****es and a ff ****-fest?

Seriously mate, you are the one ignoring points left right and centre here not me.
