I have an old Creative Zen Vision M lying about the house some of the buttons are broke and its not in great shape i was just wondering if i could convert his into a portable harddrive just wipe all its software format it and use it just for storage. Can this be done

Would i do it like im formatting any hard drive, using quick format in windows or should i do it from dos.
I was also wondering about power supply would it still charge from an ac once the firmware has been removed
