If you're in PC World, see if they have an Advent 7555 GX.

Think it is about £995. Has a Q9000 (2GHz Quadcore) and the ATI 4850 mobility (very high-end as far as laptop GPUs go). Basically a cheaper version of the MSI GT725.

The RGBLED screen is supposed to be stunning, Andatech called it the best screen they'd seen on a notebook; compareable to some good desktop monitors.

And the HD4670 is the best mid-level mobile graphics card at the moment, its very good. Its not a high-end card, but will perform admirably in most recent games.

So that's a grand laptop, and a good price considering the RGBLED screen is normally a ~€300 option.

Thats good too hear. I thought it was a good price myself. It should be able to handle most games for the next year at least and the next couple of years as lower settings.
