Dalmation needing a home?

We are looking to rescue a dalmatian as soon as possible as one of our pair had to be put down last week due to kidney failure. It can be of any sex or age, location is not a probem either as we will travel to collect it.

The one we have is a male, about 5 years old and pining badly for company, although we are doing our best to distract him he is still very lonely.

We are not in a position to buy a pup, but we would pay any fee required to rescue one. Also we feel it would be much better to give a home to a rescue dog over a breeders pup.

If anybody has any information about one, or knows where we could rescue one please pm me.

Hmm would the DSPCA be too far to go?
or Ash Rescue Shelter is boarderline Wicklow Dublin,
or check here http://www.ispca.ie/Members-Meath.aspx for SPCAs close to you

Yes it's Meath, but we have travelled to Belfast, Waterford and Wexford for our other dogs, so that wouldn't be a problem.
We tried all of those sites with no luck, and dropped into Ashtown pound yesterday but still no joy.
