Oz Tax Back - Doing It Yourself

    I spent some time filling in my details in the eTax program found on the Australian Taxation website.

    I couldn't submit it online as my Identity was not matched.
    (I'm back in Ireland now)

    Has anyone managed to lodge it online or do you need to print it and post to an Australian tax office?

    I've doen it online for a few years now.

    have you got the correct tax file number - if so have you the exact same name etc as what is registered

    Yep have correct TFN as far as I can see.
    Not 100% if I used my middle name or not.
    Had it included, so tried there without it but my identity was still not matched.

    Now it's saying my access has been temporarily locked as a security measure.

    Sounds like I should be able to lodge online, so I'll try again when I'm unlocked. Should get the right combination eventually!

    You could be locked perm, RING them and they can tell you what is wrong
