Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

With Setanta UK gone down the drain, who has the rights to show England internationals now?

Please let's not start that shoite!

Rooney was hardly looking for a peno there, it was just a retarded decision by the ref.

He looked round at the ref with his hands in the air, clearly looking for a penalty

He sat on the ground and turned to the ref with his hands in the air

[edit] Actually he may have just thought he was being accused of making the foul and pleading against it, since he was in fact the one making the foul. Either way it was a retarded decision

Why then was he sitting on his arse looking at the referee with his arms in the air. Rooney found out again for being the cheating person that he is.

EDIT: I do not wish to offend anyone.

    Did he dive?

    Did he dive?

See my edit above. And no i don't think it was a dive as such

  • Moderators, Regional East Moderators Posts: 23,233 Mod ✭✭✭✭GLaDOS

    Did he dive?
He went down under no contact, then appealed for a foul he know didn't happen.

Deceit is the correct term I believe.

Well lets see if UEFA/FIFA look into this one, I somehow doubt they will.

What's there to look at? Two players got tangled after pushing and pulling each other in the box. There was no 'dive'.

The referee should simply have told them both to get up and waved play on. If anyone is going to be looked at it should be him.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

It was not a dive and it was not a peno. Both are possible at the same time.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 22,879 Mod ✭✭✭✭Bounty Hunter

id agree that Rooney was probably reacting saying that he hadnt fouled the Slovak who perhaps Wayne thought had dived.

the ref was in the wrong and nobody else
