Gaybo was world class, one of the best in the world, ever.

    .

If Tubridy shows even a little bit of humanity, he will go to redeeming the great damage to the show done by Pat Kenny (who had the passion of an android). What the show is crying out for again is some passion. Let the audience participate in the show. Kenny seemed to get rid of most audience participation. That did great harm. Tubridy will go up in my estimation if he lets the audience speak. The vibes I am getting off him are not great. When asked would he be tackling any serious subjects on the Late Late, he said that he would leave that up to the new Pat Kenny current affairs show. He seems to think that the Late Late show should be ultra-light entertainment. Eh, Ryan, it isn't. Look at the best shows during the reign of Gay Byrne. Always serious. Always controversial.

    you forgot about David McSavage

He's an arsehole. However, I LOVE the way he succeeds in pissing off so many people every time he is on. It's great television

Seems like The Late Late show made the right decision by getting Cowen on judging by the reactions here.

    This could be interesting :pac:

They should let here present the show and she can interview both Tubbers and tubby about the meaning of life.

She could discuss her rigor mortis and how shallow old and young talentless slappers are.

I am sure that Tubridy will have a hard on for Biffo and will more than likely treat him with rubber gloves in fear of upsetting him...

Are they getting a new audience as well? I hate the 'Wúúúúúúúúúúúúúú' sound they make when they get a free hamper

Theres been so much coverage of this today in the media i wouldnt be suprised if some malcontent who is suffering in this recession turned up and stormed the studio like Mr Insufferable Arsehole, except this time when he sees Tubridy he will call him Mr Invisable Arsehole and when he sees Cowen, he will call him Mr Immense Arsehole!

Wonder who will spend the longest in the make-up room - Cowen or Tubridy

Well purely based on the surface area it'd have to be cowen... because he is fat.

I wonder, and apologies if somebody had said this already, if Fianna Fail get some audience tickets so we will hear cheering and clapping when he comes on.

To be fair, no self respecting Irish citizen could cheer for that individual after what he is after doing to the country.

Oh god the promo is on and the studio looks crap, looks like the set of the tonight show bascially he is going to make it into a light entertainment show and the viewers will turn away in there droves Ryan ya clown.

Bertie is the main cause of all the current problems. Biffo was his right hand man. Bertie though was getting all the warnings about the problems to come but he kept sneering at the people who were warning him.

My suspicions all along...Tubridy hasn't the balls to mix heavy and light material. He is a flash harry.

He might get a few Tiger Cubs to watch it but the bread and butter viewers of the late late will turn away in there droves, there will be a massive out cry from the middle aged and older people when they see what that Idiot has done to the name of the late late show.

I agree. Bertie had a major part to play but Biffo was his minister for finance. The second most powerful person in the country and should have heeded the warnings too.

I never warmed to Kenny coz he avoided all conflict. Funny how Kenny can be so good on the radio and so shit on the telly. It seems to me he was always afraid of heckling from the audience, or something. Gaybo was the guv'nor. He encouraged rows. He was well able for all comers. Tubridy strikes me as a lightweight. If he gets a few rows going, i will be converted
