    1973 VW Beetle for sale.

    http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/1369623

1300 engine, been driven as everyday transport for over a year and I never had any major problems with it. Great car, runs real well and starts every time, drives perfectly, it must be seen. I put a bit of work into it over the last year such as new brakes a few services and other bits and bobs (all receipts available for inspection)

Taxed till March 2011, Exempt from NCT (due to over 30 years old), cheap insurance under classic car scheme.

It’s a real head turner and if Herbie isn’t your cup of tea the stickers are easily removable. Small amount of surface rust in places and will need welding on one sill in the not too distant future. Genuine reason for sale, no time wasters please, no reasonable offers refused. €1800.

Please call <snip> weekday evenings AFTER 5pm or weekends anytime.

    Maurice

    Hi all,

I've a couple of cars at home that I am thinking of passing on to someone else. I've had them both for several years now.

The first is a Triumph Dolomite which I think is a 1300cc 1976 RWD model. It's red/orange with a black vinyl roof. I found it years ago and even though it was in a poor state I felt that there was potentially a good car underneath. It seems to have all the bits, as in glass, chrome and instruments but it’s in a bad state. I bought it knowing that all the badly rusted exterior panels were available off the shelf from Rimmer Bros. Structurally it actually looks to be solid. It needs a fair amount of work though, sills, door skins ect need to be replaced. Maybe someone might be interested in taking it on?

The second is a Lancia Beta Coupe. It's a 1983 2000ie model in red. I bought it a few years back from the north. When I bought it was driving and only needed a few bits of welding to put her right. Unfortunately my circumstances changed soon after I bought it and I haven't had the time to touch it ever since. I don’t have a garage and even though I treated the rust at the start it has worsened over the last while. There is a hole inside the rear wheel arch and a fair few smaller patches of rust that need attention. It also needs a bootlid. The car is on Northern Irish plates and VRT would need to be paid. I have heard before that if the car is in poor condition it can classify for a cheaper VRT rate. Not sure if that applies to the new VRT Co2 system though. I really want to keep the car and get it back to its former glory but since my everyday car packed it in recently I am now thinking of getting rid of it to help finance another everyday car.

I'm basically just putting a feeler out there to see if I could move them both on. The Dolomite price is negotiable but I would hope to get my money back. I'd let the Beta go for in or around €1400. I'll try to get some photos over the weekend.

Looking to sell with px or swap this V8 109" Series III. Basically everything was new in 2004 - galv chassis, bulkhead and 100's of fittings. Genuine 43,000 miles from new - all history known.

I have 2 kids and want a classic or vintage saloon car.

    Hi
Could you put a rough price on the Landrover? Would you be initerested in a swap for a 1972 Merc W114/5 280E?

Not being smart, but if its had a new chassis and bulkhead,is it the same car it was when new?:p

Good point.. but you find another "as new" 1980 LR!

Any this is a real rebuild to correct spec, not a newer OneTen or Defender using the V5 or numberplate of an older motor.

Only a real LR expert would spot the 2 deviations from the original spec of the 1980 motor. Plus it has the very hard to find correct Bulkhead for a Stage 1 and the impossible to get grill/slam and reversing lights.

Selling my 1977 Range Rover V8 two door.
    DSCF1155.JPG
I've given a very honest description on ebay so no hidden costs.
The four and half inch lift is easy to undo if you'd like to go back to original.

Might be interested in a swop for something pre 1980s ... preferably German, Japanese or Italian.
