    Hi,

@mods: I'm trying to organize a vintage (77-82) Porsche 911 as a surprise wedding present for my wife to be. I've created a new account to avoid ruining the surprise, you can check the ip addy.

The only problem is that I'm useless when it comes to buying cars and even worse when it's a classic.

May I start a new thread please seeking info on where to start, what to look for, who to bring and anything on the upkeep?

    Thanks
    PS
plenty of info available for genuine posters!!!!!!

to be truthful not really nothing major could get it done reasonable enough but wen you start down that road i find the costs keep rising and the job ends up half done and i lose patience and dump it to one side

well as these cars have so much hidden rust & if you cant do the work yourself it would cost a clean fortune to do
i have been restoring a 131 sport last couple of years & they would literaly scare you where they rot!!
sorry this isnt the car for you & at least you are honest, good luck finding one

As the title says, I'm in need of a floor carpet and door cards for my Escort Mk3.

They have to be for a 5-door model, and are light grey in colour. I believe (the carpet anyway) from a Mk4 will also do. They have been be in good condition.

PM if anyone has, or know someone, who has them for sale. Thanks.

Sweet Jesus thats nice and its been years since I've seen a Sierra on the road with that front end.

The last one was in Nenagh, 3dr as well and it was some sort of snot green and was very muddy by the time it was retired
