My garage is A mess and im looking for some stackable storage boxes to try and tidy it up a bit. Lots of ould car parts and half finished projects that need to be put to the side to make room.

any ides where I could get some good quality storage boxes in Cork or south of Ireland at least.

    1978 Cortina 1.6GL Mk4 for sale

one of our opel fellas has this up for sale if anybodys in to corktinas :)

    linky http://totalopel.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9756

Selling a Mk4 Cortina if anyone here fancies it or knows of a customer. It's driving fine and the engine really does run like a clock. It needs tyres (perished) and brakes bleeding. They work OK but went to the floor today - seemed to firm up when pumped. Took these photos today. Would clean up OK as a daily driver or with a bit of work could look real good. Hard to value but looking for €995 ovno. Was going to paint it Signal Orange & lower it onto a set of black revoloutions but have too much on. Has had sills & rear arches patched up & painted but all the rest of pantwork seems original. Car in Fermanagh.

    Any interest give me a buzz on 07743 443777 (N) or 086 2053136 (Sth)

paul is the fellas name !

Tell me you are joking about the bargain bit !! lots of bodywork and interior to do and a respray , no engine or gearbox. Can buy a fully restored one for 3500 at the moment here. Would cost maybe that amount and more to put this one on the road

I dont believe this is a place where you may start a discussion ,however, You didnt see the car so how would you know anything about it.? It worth well over €2000 in parts ALONE if I stripped it!

It doesnt need an interior, it needs front seats only (if you match them to back ones)

It doesnt need LOTS of bodywork, it needs a couple of dead easy bits as stated, even the paint is usable if you can match any repairs made.

You wont buy ANY 1600E for €3500 that needs nothing spent on it.A good one here will cost you AT LEAST twice that
To get this one OTR would take the fitting of the lump and box and not much more.
At Just over a grand starting price, it well worth looking at

    Thanks for your help.

    Anyone got a good alternator for a w123 230e?

Or, does anyone know if one from a Mercedes 190 model will fit?

    Thanks

I'd say you're better off getting the original reconditioned. That's what i did with the alternator in my 280SE. Cost me €60.

As far as I know they were all scrapped as in crushed to prevent them getting into the wrong hands, or so I was told. Why don't you build up a replica of one?

That M102 engine is used up till about 1992 or 93 in the W124. Cant say for sure but I'd imagine any 230 alt will fit. Prob same alt in the 200 190.
Have alook here and see if there are any cross references.
