Well people I'm looking for a new key for my 79 Ford escort the old one has vanished does anybody know where it can be cut to fit the original door boot and ignition going mad want to take her out in this fine weather

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,953 ✭✭✭aujopimur

Take the boot lock (as this is usually the easiest to remove) to a decent locksmith, he should sort you out.

Contemplating selling my mk2 Toyota MR2.

Really REALLY don't want to but v difficult to run a car like this (or any car) with no job.

    It's NCT'd until 31-12-11, taxed until 08-11, 140k miles, red, sunroof.

1750 euro or would be interested in swap for something with smaller engine.

    Any pics?

  • Registered Users Posts: 378 ✭✭HiKite

Cheers for that, what are they? I'm in the middle of getting some from the UK but I'll bear it in mind..

Is there any need to change diff ratios if you do this?

  • Registered Users Posts: 49 Dark Stanley.

I don't think I want to change the diff ratio. I,ve fitted a mexico big valve head, kent BCF 3 fast road cam and I've a 45 DCOE to fit.
I just need longer legs, ie a type 9.

Just have the ad for my Marina gone on DD.

Don't worry, nothing wrong with it for those who know I don't have it that long.

The genuine reason for sale is I only ever keep them for the summer and I'd imagine it will be hard to find someone else who would appreciate the charms of a Marina...........that and I've been offered an Allegro VDP that I've been hankering after for a long time now.

The car has recently been MOT'd so all is good but you're welcome to bring a trolly jack and inspect every inch of it before purchase

Might be interested in a swap also of something vintage or modern.

PM me or call me on the number in the ad if you have any questions or wish to arrange a viewing.

Nice car, seems in very good condition....

Maybe you should register it first though. With the new VRT rules, i'd say it's gone very difficult to sell anything that's not registered. I've been known to browse donedeal on occasions (understatement of the century), but these days i don't even look at UK registered stuff anymore...

Its being done next week, and taxed. I just haven't had the time yet but I've just added it to the ad

    Cool.

Maybe it's just me, but i'm wondering, do other people feel the same about UK registered stuff for sale? I can imagine that people would be reluctant because of all this hassle with the new VRT rules...
