€1800, since I bought it, it's had a few new parts inc a front windscreen. There's a car out there I want to get for €1800, so I'd have to be firm on the price. It's good value at that anyway, I reckon, especially to a guy who can sort the minor niggles himself.. Cheers for the interest!

Hi there, I bought my 924 on the 1st of May, and I love it, BUT, it is awkward for us when we're transporting my toddler, as his booster seat must go in the front. No room in the back for my girlfriend then, oops

I'm just putting the feelers out to see if there are any pre-1980 4 door car owners out there, who wouldn't mind a change. Even a coupe with usable back seats would do. The pics I uploaded aren't the best by the way, but haven said that, the car is best seen in the flesh anyway. Windscreen has been replaced since the photos, and all trim is present :0)

Engine is a 2L N/A, very cheap to maintain as parts are freely available on ebay, and there is phenomenal support available from the UK forums, which to be honest I would miss if I move on. The body kit is 944, and it has a 944 gearbox and interior. It was rebuilt during the 80s but I don't have much more history than that it was bought in the UK about a year ago and the spray job was done here in Ireland (spraying the front tyres also :D)) The head gasket was done about 6 months ago.

There are some little fiddly bits to be done, which you could do yourself if you are handy (I'm not!). The drivers side window needs to be realigned, Petrol flap needs to be resprayed (I bought one but it's red!), drivers seat needs restitching in one place. Ariel needs to be mounted. Main Beam stalk needs to be swapped out (I have a spare). Sounds like a lot but they're all small jobs.

    Thanks for looking!

How much are you looking for her out of interest?

    Hi
I have a SWB 1979 Series 3 Landy, original 2 1/4 diesel engine with free wheeling hubs, overdrive, 6 seats, zv plate, spare parts, radio. sound proofed, recently serviced, aluminium bonnet side and rear crossmember guards.
Its kept under cover all year round, currently running on rape oil( how eco friendly is that)

Only 34,000 miles from new( cant tell if clock has ran round) starts on the button is my daily driver.

The only piece of rust is drivers door and I have a full brand new re-placement just not painted yet. i even have the paint.
    sm-DSC06498.jpg
This is not my landy but same colour and wheels.

I would like to swap it for something interesting, maybe a 2 berth camper, or e- type Jag(dreams). I would put money with it for the right machine.
    I'm not interested in projects.

What price is on the landy :)

do you have a price in mind for a cash sale?

Ok, barn find not strictly true as I put it in there in the first place. But out of sight out of mind I almost forgot about it, but now moving back to Ireland to renovate the house so the car has to go.

Car is LHD, Automatic, originally owned by a German lady from Esslingen am Neckar who sold it to her brother in Ireland. He laid it up about 15 years ago after giving the front a knock. I bought it ten years ago intending to repair damage to front and never got around to it! I just put it in the garage, and moved about a year later.

Opened up the garage, dusted her down, put on fully charged battery, direct feed of a bit of fresh petrol, and she fired right up. Obviously damage to front is still there; other problems are a hole in the exhaust, and the brakes are a bit sticky. But engine sounds great, auto gearbox fine, driving fine, power steering sweet etc. Body and interior are in super shape so I think there is the makings of a very strong car.

Parts can be be bought at audi.de/tradition-parts or the German ebay at ebay.de.

I am just getting a feel if anyone would be interested in buying and doing the work, or else I will get the repairs done myself and sell.

Would also be interested in P/Ex for modern car with NCT, cash either way.

    Any interest?

    Hello Schmittel

How much do you hope to get for the Audi?

    Regards Rugbyman

  • Registered Users, Subscribers Posts: 5,981 ✭✭✭hometruths

    Hi Rugbyman

I have it listed on Donedeal at 4K.

But would be very negotiable on that if it was to someone who was going to do the work and keep it. If you are interested you are more than welcome to come take a look at it.

I think you'll find you'll have to search in the UK for this, 911's broken are pretty scarce here

I'm on the lookout for a Triumph 2000 that's in reasonable/usable condition as I've always had a hankering for one. I'm not looking for a show car but I'd like something that's well sorted mechanically.

I have a Dolomite 1850 that I'd be happy to swap with cash adjustment if necessary. It's a good solid car that goes well. There are a couple of rust patches that could do with sorting over time but it's a good solid car.

Drop me a pm if interested. Price negotiable.

Relisted it at €1800 swop value, or €1600 cash (lowest price):http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/vintagecars/2347523

Some more background: A guy told me today that my car was listed on Donedeal for about 5 months before the last guy bought it, due to his, shall we say, poor bedside manner. The guy I bought it off was forced to sell it by his wife, who apparently didn't buy into the "surprise" purchase, so he only had it for 6 weeks. Now I'm selling it after 3 months, after finally admitting i should have bought a 4 door. But from the outside, it looks bad doesn't it? I just wanted to share that info. It'll sell anyway, and even if you were to part it out, the 944 S2 body kit alone is worth €1000.. Cheers for reading!
