If you contact the D.V.L.A. on 00441792783214, and ask to speak to Estelle Williams, explain to her that you wish to take this car back to Ireland, and can she issue with a Certificate Of Permanent Export as you are living in Ierland, and the seller has no V5. You could write to her at EXPORTS AA D4 D.V.L.A. Swansea, SA 99 1ZZ. I am sure that she will be able to advise you as to what you need to do. It may take 4/6 weeks to get a response. I hope this will be of help to you.:):)

Getting it in to Ireland is the easy bit, getting a log book should be straight forward, but try and get it insured is a different story,if its a cat b,most insurance companies wont touch it.I wish you luck finding one ....

I'm looking for a right rear wheel speed sensor for a 1996 Jaguar xj6. Main dealer prices are about €280.00!!!! I have a donor car, 1997, but unfortunatelly, the sensors are a little different and dont work. Typical! Any thoughts on the best/least expensive place to get one? Looking online and prices vary from £186.stg to £56.stg. May have to go that route, but I need it yesterday.

    Thanks in advance.

Aahhhh... Well if you want to make your Dyane seats (or 2CV seats for that matter) more comfy and firm, the best way to do it is to double up the elastic bands that suspend the canvas thingie in the middle of the seat. You'll find it makes a huge difference.

I remember these! Would they not be potentially lethal though?

The ones I'm thinking of just had a pair of upside-down U fittings. I can imagine these having the potential to do some damage to front- or back-seat occupants in the event of an accident.....

    Not your ornery onager
