I found a small section in one book years ago but it was very vague.

That small section (a couple of pages of colour photographs) was in every Haynes Manual for a while. From memory one set featured a red car, another one a maroon (or brown) car, get some plop and a rattle can spray.

They still publish The Haynes Car Bodywork Repair Manual , or you might be able to find an earlier edition of the same thing on Ebay/Amazon.

Looking for Mercedes 280 parts (the M110 with K jet engine). Interested in parts or might take a running car.

Have cash or possibly do a deal with an NCTed W124 diesel if you have a running W123 280e.

I'm looking for a Haynes manual for re-spraying, bodywork, filling, painting etc, does anyone know if they exist?! I found a small section in one book years ago but it was very vague.
    I can travel to collect.

    thanks

Yes They exist, Called The Car Bodywork Repair Manual. I have an old one somewhere, think it used a mk2 escort as a test case. Would be pretty outdated now though.

Looking for any '131' showroom/garage signage, posters, leaflets, '131' showroom number plates (e.g. 131-D-131, 131-D-000...), etc

Maybe somebody here has some lying on a shelf, or in a skip?!

A friend of mine has just put his 1994 C280 on its side and wants rid asap. A wishbone is broken, but both doors open fine, all glass is ok, and it looks as though it would be drivable otherwise. It's a very high specification car, with a good black leather interior with 2 power seats and a Becker stereo along with expensive Rainbow Audio speakers in the factory enclosures. I've attached a pic, he's not looking for top dollar but would like it to go to an enthusiast.

Hope your friend is ok Anan1.

You've a good memory! It was, I sold it to him in around 2006. He's grand, if a little sheepish.

.......and just to throw this into the conversation, I have a really, really tidy '95 C180 Elegance A/T that I was going to put back on the road but may sell. Its virtually rust free, great paintwork and a genuine good driver. Looks even better than my '99 daily driver. I was gonna ask €750 including a fresh NCT but I'd let it off for €550 as is. Someone could buy both and still end up spending SFA.

Other than that I would be interested in the leather interior ! :D

Sorry for the delay on this, rugbyman was considering it via PM but decided against. Ben, I think he might be interested in working something out with your C180. He's away for a couple of days, but I'll have a chat with him about it.

It's sad to say it but with the engine size I can't see that car being put back on the road. Nice to see one well specced though, hopefully an enthusiast buys it and uses it to put another car or keep another car on the road.

au contraire, i think that fake mk I is quite an attractive car, I too was unaware that there were four door Lotus`.
I dont think there were any Mk I cortina lotus in the ROI.
the fiat twin cam is a fine engine and assuming the enginering was done well, and the runing gear beefed up, ie. no shakes ,or vibrations ,it could be a lovely driver.
the price, though high for these straitened times, would not build one of these for you.
All in all, it looks nice, its a good recipe, I like it
