Shed clearout and I have the following parts for a 323f.

    Rear wrap round tail light.
Front headlamps pop up solenoids and brackets. No head lights.
    Front side lights.
Rear electric window regulators, left and right.
Front electric window regulators , left and right.
    Electric lock solenoids.
    Various electric switches.

Anyone restoring one of these pop up light models, these are hard to get parts.
I have them on adverts for 120, but I,m willing to do a good deal for the lot.
And an owners manual as well.

Looking for a carb from an old hiace. The engine is a 2.0 18r, it was in a few other old Toyotas. Anyone any ideas where I could get one?

Oh ok thanks , can that be taxed and insured or will it need to be vrt and re reg'd?

  • Registered Users Posts: 380 ✭✭mattroche

The answer is YES, on both counts. It has to be VRT, and Re-Reg. If it is over 30 years old, it will cost you E200 VRT to clear it.

1990 Renault 19 Chamade (Red) for sale on Donedeal.

(The seller could have sold it to my father if he hadnt been so offhand when he phoned him and asked him a few simply questions about it ....he just kept saying "look it up on the internet". My father is of the age that he doesnt use the internet. A bit of 'cop on' (and manners!) could have clinched a quick sale! Maybe you will have better 'luck' with the seller!).

It's not as nice up close.

I've given it a very close inspection at shows and I'd rather go elsewhere. I'd buy it at a price however but it needs a lot to bring it to a good standard.

Interesting. I saw it at Terenure a couple of years ago. I didnt inspect it too closely tbh. It was a 'blast from the past' for me as I worked for a Renault specialist from '89-'96 and recall working on Chamade's..fitting spoilers, bodykits, spraying, etc

As a matter of interest, what is wrong with it? Bad bodywork repairs? etc

Bad bodywork and bad repairs IMHO. It seemed to be all different shades of red. It had cracks in the paint and a nice bit of bubbling around the front and rear windows. Stevie Wonder had q go at a repair and respray of the bootlid. Mechanically and the interior both seemed to be in very good condition.

Of course someone could point out that it's perfectly good for the price but it would drive me nuts the way it is. I've splashed money sorting cars before and gotten none of it back but to do a top quality paint job on it would be too much I feel.

Incidentally the black safrane on dd is sold so I missed out on that

    Time to move this on.
    DKW F12 2 door saloon.
    3 Cylinder 2 Stroke, 900cc.
    Good body, engine and gearbox.
    Interior as new.
New suspension balljoints, track rod end, rubbers and gaiters.
    Needs minor work.
    €3950 ono.

    Selling my 1992 Mk2 Golf GTi 8v 5dr

In very good condition for her age, inside and out. The car is in effectively unmodified and comes with an extensive service history. originally a UK car but was imported in 2007. I'm the third Irish owner since then and am only selling as I am returning to college and it doesn't make sense for me to hold onto the car.

This is the run out model of the GTi so it gets a few extra's which are rare for Mk2 GTi's, namely power steering, front electric windows, central locking, "rainbow" upholstery and 15" BBS "RA" alloys. Other equipment standard on GTi's of the time but worthy of note are a manual sunroof and a trip computer.

Internally, she's in excellent condition, seats, head lining and dash plastics are all in perfect condition. The only mod inside is some Alpine speakers which have been installed in the driver and passenger doors. The original radio is not present also.

Externally, the bodywork is very good also, this car has been resprayed sometime around when it was imported its worth noting. There are a couple of extremely minor dents on the drivers side doors. These are all but invisible except in the right light. There are some small stone chips on the front of the bonnet. anyone would be worried about rust on such a car so its worth saying that there is effectively none on the body work itself. The only specks of rust are on the rims and underside of the doors but this isn't extensive by any means.

Mechanically, the car is going very well, I've done around 9,000 miles in the two years I've owned the car (See here) and it hasn't let me down once. The power steering is operating perfectly and she recently had a new speedometer cable installed

    €2,000 o.n.o

PM me for any more details

    Thanks
