I know one of my sisters in is boards, not this forum and shes more of a lurker But she has made a friend on here who is now in her course at collage, if that counts..

My brother's on Boards though I have no idea what he does here, I remember seeing a couple of his posts on politics forum and didn't even realise it was him until I saw him on Boards at home once :P.

My sister is how I found boards, but she didnt make an account until after me. She didnt recognise my earlier posts on the gaa forum either, had to tell her it was me She said I type different to how I speak..

Would your brother mind accepting you as a friend?? My sister fecking wouldnt, coz it would ruin her rep or something like that :rolleyes:

Doubt it but I can't remember his username :P.

Also I have no idea what the point of having friends on this is, I only have 2 but never noticed any difference.

I have 12 "friends" on Boards.
Out of that twelve, only 8 post regularly.

Out of that eight, one of them introduced me to this site nearly 4 years ago. We first met up because we, and one of my other best friends, posted on the same forum (not Boards). Apart from those two posters, D4rk Onion is the only other I'd have regular contact with outside of Boards.

Meeting some of the other people on this site is something I'd love to do. Problem is, all the best meet-ups happen in Dublin. It ain't easy to get to those.

I'd go to a Waterford one maybe, if it was on a Saturday... Actually pretty much never been there, but I'm sure I could figure out the train from Wexford if I needed to.

I can't see much people picking it though.

I'm hoping to rent a place out for a week, somewhere quiet, just so I can get away for a while during the Christmas break. I'll take a load of books, some painting materials, writing paper and pens, a few things for running/working out, and disappear. It'll be the exact opposite of a meet-up!
