Any low cost broadband options if you are living in low coverage area.

    I've looked into getting broadband of any type but low cost.
    Where I live is too far from phone exchange for fixed line broadband.
    I tried 3 modem which was actually slower than my 26K landline. Gave it back after 1 week.
    The NBS is not planned for the area, I think because I live in area not specified for the NBS they will not give me the satellite option.
    Can anyone offer ideas for low cost broadband options that work?
