What's the story with the stables being members only? Are we automatically members now that we have student ids?

Oh and by the way, when we went to the SU on day 1 of orientation, at the desk where everybody had to sign and pay €2, what was that for?

The Stables is a members club. It is not a pub, so in order to drink there, you have to be a member. All UL students are automatically members with their UL id card. If you have friends visiting, technically you have to sign them in so they can drink there, and you are responsible for their behaviour.

As said above, the Stables is a club, not a pub.

You aren't automatically a member once you have a UL id card. The thing everyone was paying €2 to signup for at the Students Union is so that they can become members and get the sticker for the back of their id card that proves membership.

Just go to reception in the Students Union and ask.

We will not be issuing the stickers until Week 3. All signups from the Common Room need to be processed. Then you must present ID showing you are over 18 to get the sticker.

If you are not 18, you can come and get it when you turn 18.
