Batch Code: 276; Best Before 18.09.09

    Message:

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has been informed of a food recall initiated by Musgrave Retail Partners Ireland.

Rudd Fine Foods has notified Musgraves of the possible presence of Listeria in three products it supplies to the company. Musgraves has traced this product back to all affected stores and as a precaution, all of the stock has been removed from sale with immediate effect.

The affected products, which were supplied to a limited number of stores, include SuperValu Homestyle Crumbed Ham, Centra Homestyle Crumbed Ham and Centra Homestyle Cooked Ham, which are products cut in store at the deli-counter. This issue is limited to a specific batch code which is 18.09.2009 / Batch 276, which was delivered to Musgraves from 18th-27th August and has an expiration date of 18th September 2009. The products have a two day shelf life from the point of purchase.

If customers have purchased any of the affected batch of products they should not be consumed and should be disposed of immediately.

Point of sale notices have been displayed in the retail stores which stocked the affected products.

No action is required. This alert is for information only.
    Nature Of Danger:

Listeria (listeria infection) is very serious and can be life threatening in vulnerable individuals. Only small amounts need to be consumed to cause significant infection. Specific segments of the population would be deemed at particular risk including pregnant women, the elderly and people with impaired immune functions.

my sister got food poisioned by eating a ham( think it was gammon or something) .She was so ill for days, she was perfectly fine before eating the ham and about two hours later she was vomiting violently, it took her about a week to recover fully.
This week more ham products were re-called from Supervalue and Centre due to a presence of Listeria. Click the link here if u wish to read it!

I notice that galwaybuzz is still shilling for a political motive and his/her standard of spelling is still poor.
