I presume the 'pillars' are for the M17/M18 mainline running over the centre of the junction and the less tall bank of earth is for one of the roundabout bridges?

Progress on this seems to be flying ahead, or is it just me?

Must be all the good weather we are having. If they can keep progressing with the earth works at the rate that they are and move the work to other areas when it gets wet it could be in line for an early opening maybe

Hey guys, I've been an observer of this thread for the last couple of years now, recently I've bought my first drone, I tried to upload a couple of pictures here from today, but they won't allow me to put any URL's or attachments as I'm a new user, I posted a few of them into the Irish Forum on Skyscrapercity (under Ireland's new Motorway Network thread), feel free to check out :)

I see there's clearance at the edge of the bridges to allow for future widening of the M6 to 6 lanes. Seems that way anyway.

To my knowledge it will be the first of its kind in the country. Probably some examples in the UK.

Great shots. Good to see them making steady progress.
It will get really interesting once the beams are be in place.

Lot of activity at the Rathmorrissey interchange leading up to the installation of main spans in a few weeks time.

On the Eastbound carriageway they have pretty much laid down the off-ramp - assuming that needs to be ready to receive the various bits and pieces that will be needed for the bridge construction.

Few pictures from today (really need to clean my windscreen)

Is that bridge wide enough for future dual tracking? (Ignore the fact that pigs may fly before CIE quote for that again)

Looking at the photo, the track is clearly off to one side with enough room the other side for a track.
