does anyone have a rough idea of how much of this project is ready? With the exceptions of road signs and line painting. From M17's pictures, there seems to be a good bit of tarmac down, central barriers installed, etc.

The ones on the M6 from Kinnegad to Kilbeggan are very very poor.
With an East Athlone service area on the way and Enfield already open they should just remove those.

Or just lock them up and sign the services properly. They are used frequently near Moate for checkpoints

I'm surprised there are lay-bys being built on the M17 because a motorway order was issued for the M17. They should have been deleted when the motorway order was issued. The N18 is a HQDC redesignated as far as I know

Something's gone wrong, they've all disappeared!
    Hopefully, it's only temporary.

EDIT: maybe the thread has grown too much and hit the limits and needs splitting.

Where are you hosting the pics before linking them over m17?

EDIT: I see you're hosting them on photo bucket.

According to their Twitter, they've been doing maintenance today so that might be it.
Update: During the planned maintenance last night, we encountered an unforeseen issue. Our team is continuing to work on resolving that issue, and we will provide another update as soon as possible. Rest assured that your information and content is safe. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and continued support.

Maybe the original specifications called for them and they didn't update them in line with the changes in technology.

Why is the bridge on the Ballygaddy Road so far offset of the existing road ?

    Because it's not a bridge - it's a Grade-Separated-Junction (GSJ).

    Images not quoted

Great idea doing comparisons with the drone footage m17, as an outsider it's difficult to follow the route on the video but it's nice to see how it's progressing

The existing road will be taken into left in left out (LILO) slips and the flyover will form a 180 deg loop linking both sides perpendicularly.
