And I'm sure there are dozens more examples of this. However, names do evolve. Boyle was commonly called Abbeyboyle until the early 1800s. In Irish itself, names are amalgamated over time, eg. Inis Barr a' Chuain - Inish Barracháin, Tulach Uisce - Tuilsce - Tulsk.

True - but only one of those towns that you list is in a Breac Gaeltacht.

That's interesting - I had heard that part of the motorway was closed this morning and I was wondering what was going on.

The have started work on the tuam plaza 200 metres form the m17 it will open December 21 fuel tanks going in this week

What is the Tuam plaza some type of petrol station?

Petrol/diesel/e-charging plus shop, supermacs, deli, coffee bar, newsagents etc

Exact same as the rest of P McDonagh's plaza's
