    Generally there's top soil left over after the job but a lot of it is used for verges, batters and tip covering.

    Sounds kinda like busyatwork intends on creaming off excess topsoil and selling it on the sly to unscrupulous black-market topsoil dealers.

    That topsoil is the sovereign property of the Irish people! Hands of our natural resources you bleddy thief!

    i have drove all the site and with the amount of rock and the design of the road and batters roundabouts slip roads not much topsoil will be left
    ya cant use subsoil it hard to get it to grow grass and if ya could you are a jenious

    Just noticed that on the FAQ section on the scheme website, it states that there will in fact not be a phased opening of the road. This is despite the fact that the Tuam Bypass element will surely be complete first, unless they deliberately concentrate elsewhere.
