    At home:
Harp in pint bottles, straight from the fridge. I only know of 1 shop in Dublin that sells these
Rarely drink Whiskey but Bushmills 10 or 16 year old

    Pub: (order of preference)
    Guinness
    Smithwick's/Harp
    Carlsberg

Nice, which champagne and which rum do you use?
Going cheap tonight as the intention is recessionary pre-club drinkies. Got some Bluff Hill Rosé bubbly (€14 bottle in M&S and very nice indeed) and got a cheap industrial rum...Kinsey or something like that. Gonna swamp all the flavours with lime and mint anyway. :)

Fair enough, I would never use champagne in one, but sparkling wine as you do.

Yeah I know, but "Champagne Mojito" sounds way tastier then "Sparkling wine Mojito" :D

    Home: Grolsch, Tyskie!

In a pub/club: Corona or Miller for beers, Jaegerbombs, sambuca or whiskey straight does me.

House party: anything but cider, cant stomach the stuff its vile!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,148 ✭✭✭✭KnifeWRENCH

Usually vodka and red bull; it's bloody expensive though so I'm searching for something else. What else goes well with vodka?

Can't stand beer of any description.

Primary drink of choice is a nice cold, clean European lager like Lech, Tyskie, Staropramen, and so on. In a pub, Miller usually. Wine with meals, but only on some occasions, and if the daughter has been abroad she'll usually bring back Schnapps and Baileys.

Baileys on ice, mmmmm. Ghey? Moi? :D

    /runs off to check fridge.

Edit: a quarter bottle of Bailey's coffee: vile stuff, can't stand it. Oh well.

    Pub:
    Winter: Guinness,
    Summer: Bulmers Draught.
    House Party: Staropramen.
Small ones: vodka coke, or black rum n coke.
    Shots: Jager or Capt Morgan
    Cocktail: Mai Thai
Restaurant: A decent French red or Rioja.

Ok so some idle time led me to think of what I drink, When and how much etc. Having asked some collegues and watching people at the bar (I work in a bar).
It's interesting to note and sometimes you can tell a persons drink by the look of em. Of course the odd time someone will surprise you.

anyway this thread is related to what you drink both at home and when you're out. I've allowed a multi choice in case you drink different drinks in a given place.

I myself will drink either a can or bottle of Heineken at home. I'll drink Guinness typically in most places but If I'm unsure of the place then I'll go back to bottled lager or Vodka.

Went through a phase of drinking white Russians at home, kahlua, nice vodka straight from the freezer and tesco jersey milk... ****ing lush!

Tis usually cheap cans of lager for me, or a few bottles of Perroni, Franziskaner or Erdinger if I'm feeling fancy

That's the stuff. Very sweet but flippin' delicious gear.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,064 ✭✭✭KrustyUCC

Yup it is. Used to love Kopparberg's mixed fruit on a night out. Start drinkin at home then move onto club. Mixed fruit used to 7% so three of them was the job. Buggers have since cut it back to 5.6%:mad::mad:

what I love about Belgium is how cheap booze is; pubs selling Stella Artois for 1euro/Delirium or Leffe or Duvel for 1.50?
    Yes please.

One drink only - Lanson Brut Cuvee NV. Sadly, I rarely have the money to buy a bottle it so I drink Becks or Hoegaarden instead.

The Same for Beer; usually Carlsberg or Heineken.

Vodka and coke when at home or in a club, especially when I am looking to get drunk.

Anything that comes in a shot glass when I am out and looking to get drunk.
