Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Terry Wogan has announced he is retiring from his breakast show on BBC Radio 2. And guess who's taking over? Chris Evans! Middle England will be up in arms (and yes I know Evans already works on Radio 2, but still).

Heh you beat to the punch "middle England up in arms" etc!

No doubt this will be the case, TOGs uprising and letter writing campaign to follow.
He'll be a hard act to follow but at 71 its about time he shuffled off to the weekends.

I think Evan's should fit in nicely. He's a very different product now than he was in the mid '90's.
Wogan was good company for me in the late 90's driving in the dark winter mornings from Brighton to London. Prozac for the airwaves.

Is it wise to move Evans to Breakfast? I think he's hard to beat on Drivetime. Just wondering how the BBC R1 guys feel about that move. Moyles and Evans on the wireless at the same time? Maybe its the market totally cornered now for the BBC

BBC Radio 2 has the highest radio listnership in the world and well rounded DJs have a lot to do with that. Terry Wogan clocks in nearly 15 million listners each morning. I would have thought that the choice of successor would be crucial to BBC. I am not sure that Chris Evans could win over Terry's fans especially well.
