carlow road in kilkenny city.

    Hey silly question,
    but would anyone recommend the best way to get to the carlow road in Kilkenny from Tullamore, Co Offaly?

    Tullamore to Portlaoise to abbeyleix to kilkenny on to the ring road around to Dublin road/carlow road.

    hour and half maybe, give or take with traffic and what not.

    Yes, about an hour and a half should do it. You won't make the journey in much less than that. Route is Tullamore - Portlaoise - Abbeyleix. Turn left at Durrow and then go to Ballyragget. On the outskirts of Kilkenny you will meet a roundabout. Take the first exit (well there are only two of them - the other takes you into town) and you will be on the ring road. Drive along that for a mile or so until you reach the Carlow road roundabout. You will know you're nearing it when you see a Toyota dealership on the right and then some shops/garages up ahead of you.
