Hilarious Halloween episode. Thought the Mitchell/Spider Man thing was great, especially the bathroom part. :D

It was a pretty great episode until Haley turned up in her first costume then it became amazing.

...and everyone runs to IMDB to make absolutely sure the actress is well into her 20s before hitting thanks.

Made sure of her age last year ;)

    She is 20. Thank god.

Pretty weak episode this week imo. I found it pretty boring actually.

Thought this week was one of the weakest in recent memory..

You mean last week's or was there an unadvertised one the other night?

It was on in the US on Wednesday night... where Cameron mother visits - 2X09.

yea was the worst episode yet but still alright. first instance of a poor episode in the entire series thus far which is some going...

    CAT dropped the ball there.

yeah this weeks wasn't great but i did love the part where cameron told mitchell to show him on lily's doll where his mother touched him inappropriately(sp?):D

I liked it, especially the stuff with Phil and Dylan.

The discarding of the hoody was the highllght of the episode.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,577 ✭✭✭lord lucan

Didn't quite hold up to the standard of previous episodes but was held up by the Phil/Dylan scenes.

Last episode was brilliant but the thought Cams mother story was a bit weird.
Loved Phil and Dylan. Definitely the highlight of the episode :)

I have to agree that this was a little flat. It was a poor week for comedy with only How I Met Your Mother and How Not To Live Your Life providing any laughs.

Yeah, HIMYM always do step up their game for Thanksgiving episodes.

It was no "Slapsgiving", but it was very funny!

Fantastic return with the latest episode.

Luke's teaching style was great, loved the filler scene over the credits in particular. Phil's quandary was played out great. Just a shame that we won't see more of Barry:(

Oh shoot! I totally forgot it was on last night.

    Ha!

James Marsden was great. Loved the shot of his warming his hands against the painted on-fire in the "Princess House".

Thought this episode was ok. Some funny bits but it doesn't seem to be as good as earlier episodes.

Luke had some cracking lines this week! :D

"Whatever it was, it looked like Dad was winning."
"Did you notice Dad had the same look on his face as when he smells a new car."

    Great episode!

    Loved that line.

    Really was a great episode.

I thought it was a strong episode, but some parts were really boring. TBH the Mitchell/Cam storyline was boring.

Ah, one story always takes comedic priority though.

And there was that great exchange between them this week:

Mitchell (to the camera): "Then a miracle happened. The hottest new restaurant in the city opened two blocks away, Amelia's."
Cameron (to the camera): "But there was a problem."
Mitchell: "They can take us at 5:15..."
    Cameron: "What are we, 80?"
    Mitchell: "...or 10:45."
    Cameron: "What are we, 20?"

    :D

Great episode, best in a while.

I like when the kids get a bit of the limelight.

Not a very funny return I thought

Only LOL moment for me was Alex's "that's what it should say on the van!"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 229 ✭✭Jacksquat

Yea, I didn't think it was the best. No part really stood out in this ep. I got a bit of a laugh out of Phil's first call about the van

Completely agree, although the first one had its moments.
I was annoyed at first that they had re-cast Lily, but obviously it works much better this way...

First episode was ok, a few funny moments. Second episode was an improvement, it felt much more like a normal episode.

    The hell? They re-cast Lily?

Phil stole the show, as he always does. So good to have this back on air :)

When this show "clicks" its fantasticly funny.
Neither of these 2 eps "clicked", but the 2nd one was by far the stronger of the 2.

Phil is definitely a great character , but Gloria's voice is getting to be annoying (we get that she's colombian already !).

That's her natural voice. She's talked about it in interviews about how she gets slagged that her accent has actually got worse the longer she's lived in the states

Not impressed with the new season so far at all! It seemed likee it was Modern Family by numbers & they were just going through the motions, I really hope it gets back to it's best! Phil is still brilliant though! :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 229 ✭✭Jacksquat

Just watched ep.3 and enjoyed it. I'd love to hang out with Phil:D such a legend! I think the relationship created between Phil and Luke is brilliant. They are so happy when doing something crazy :p

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,397 ✭✭✭✭FreudianSlippers

Pretty good episode this week. Mitchell was amazing this week and so was Claire... 2 characters I usually find pretty dull.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,012 ✭✭✭✭titan18

    That was awesome

Brilliant line from Manny this week

Manny: Hello Mam, do you love Christmas?
    Woman: Actually,I'm Jewish.
Manny: Well, then you must appreciate good value.

    Had me in tears
