I guess most eyes will be on Italy vs Bulgaria, but Scotland vs Holland may well have a bearing on our group as well. If Scotland don't win we should be assured of our play-off spot (provided we finish at least 2nd of course).

i know Heskey is a good foil for Rooney and all that; i understand it totally.

but how in the name of all that is good and holy can defoe not get a start. he seems to create just as good a partnership from what we've seen, plus, a small plus on his side over heskey is...

he scores goals. i'd have thought it a slight advantage in a battle for a place as a centre forward :rolleyes:

i say this knowing damn well that now i've said this, heskey will dominate and score...

We are(im half belgian ) really woeful but on paper(or football manager whatever) at least you'd think they would be doing better(Van Buyten, Vermaelen,Dafour,Kompany, Simons Witsel, Fellaini, Dembélé all players who are rated highly enough and are either promising up coming players or estabalished in pretty decent teams.

England have to be early favourites for the world cup on the back of this qualification campaign? Can't think of a team that has absolutely destroyed their group-Holland maby but their group was a bit meh, thought England would have found their group a bit tougher.
