I'm trying to locate an old mate from Leeds who i'm told moved to Galway
but unsure of how long ago.
    He'll be 43 or 44 now.
This is my first attempt at tracing him.
Any ideas or info would be much appreciated.

Is this the same person as the mandolin player from County Down. Think this man is dead though.

I'll be hard pushed either way but thankyou for pointing
    out my error.

I have a vague recollection, from a relative of his 15 or so years ago,
that he may have been a reggae DJ.
I'll wager there haven't been too many of those in Galway.
i found him on face book

I know i'm only English but I did have a peep on Facebook.
    Thankyou anyway.

Is there a Galway phone book on line? Can't find one.

There are lots of Strattons in Galway but I reckon they are mostly Briggs and Stratton lawnmowers.

It seems that if Dominic has a land-line in Galway, he is ex-directory. :)

But in these days when increasing numbers are cell-phone-only, 'tis getting less useful.

Well, if it's any help: next time he googles his own name this thread will come up.

Vodafone and O2 used to have directories of mobile phone numbers a couple of years ago, don't know if they still do.

Can't remember the number ... I rang 11811 and asked them the number for mobile phone enquiries.

Althouhg, obviously if he's ex-directory, he won't be there either.

I don't expect anyone to give me details of his whereabouts.
I'd forward my e-mail so that it was his choice.

Problem solved.Yours however is a little more deep rooted.

You'd wonder if they made Terminator 1 now, considering most aren't in the phone book, would the Terminator have went to a net cafe (and a local message forum) instead of a phone booth

    I don't know but I doubt it's 9 to 5.

The only clue I have is the reggae dj but it might just be
    his full time occupation.

It's about 1987 when I last saw him and we were both just coasting
    through life then.
