ya went to see it. couldnt stay around for long though after wards as I had a couple of buses to catch.

A nightlilk bus going from UL -> town -> Raheen at 11pm would be bloody handy.

    Wiki wrote:
Krav Maga is an eclectic hand-to-hand combat system developed in Israel. It was derived from street-fighting skills developed by Imi Lichtenfeld, who made use of his training as a boxer and wrestler, as a means of defending the Jewish quarter during a period of anti-Semitic activity in Pozsony (Bratislava) in the mid- to late 1930s. In the late 1940s, following his emigration to Israel, he began to provide hand-to-hand combat training to what was to become the IDF, developing the techniques that became known as Krav Maga. It has since been refined for both civilian and military applications. Unlike most martial arts, Krav Maga is essentially a tactical defense skill. Its philosophy emphasizes threat neutralization, simultaneous defensive and offensive maneuvers, and aggressive endurance in a 'him-or-me' context. Krav Maga is still used by the Israel Defense Forces and several closely related variations have been developed and adopted by law enforcement, Mossad, Shin Bet, FBI, United States special operations forces, Irish Rangers and British Special Forces. There are several organizations teaching variations of Krav Maga internationally.

It's a reality based self defence (RBSD) system. Where your traditional martial arts and fighting styles (karate, judo, boxing etc.) are designed for competition fighting with rules and regulations Krav Maga was designed for street combat and promotes fighting dirty and, if possible, using [improvised] weapons.

Yea Archery! A great sport, good craic, savage equipment and it only takes a couple of weeks to get the hang of.

Anyone know when/where the Computer Society meet up? I figure I've paid my fee so I might as well attend a meet up or two.

Nope, but don't forget to bring the E10 insurance fee.
    Where does it take place?
In the old sports hall (near the astro-turfs), go in the main door and down the stairs beside the office. It's the gym on the left, they will be changing tonight because there is work going on but we're meeting up there anyway.
what attire do you need to wear?
Just your standard tracksuit, runners etc. Bring water as well, and a towel if you want.

They're open to everyone, however having attended the meeting myself it's clear how you could be a bit confused.

Ya I was a little bit! Was sitting up the back very confused altogether so I didn't bother in the end.
Maybe next time. Will try and go out with everyone tomorrow tho.
