Editors are a shoe in next year. New album out soon or now. Not sure.

The Big Pink will play it.

    Basement Jaxx.

    Placebo.

Oxegen is irritating for line up. It's one of the only music festivals in Europe that don't cater for all types of music. They seem to shy away from hard rock/metal every year.

They've got dance, acoustic, indie and every other genre but metal there.

If they got at least four metal bands to play next year I'd definitely go.

I do like indie music but it gets repetitive when you see two or three bands who sound the exact same.

    Case in point:

Editors played on the mainstream followed straight after by Interpol.

Yea Editors album is out a few weeks . Would love a few metal bands myself and agree that it only caters for indie, dance and pop imo

My first time going this year and I could even see this because older siblings have said how it used to be. It'd nearly make ya not want to go but then the knackers would win! I suppose next year I'll have to choose wisely where I camp.

Anyway, back to the acts. Would love to see Kasabian couldn't get a ticket the other night :(. Something old like Bowie would be quality too!

Praying to God KoL and The Killers do not return!!!!

Oasis! Or, even Noel Gallagher on his own. Or, "Oasis 2.0" as Liam wants it now.

The Strokes (more likely Julian Casablancas on his own though?)
    The Libertines
    Them Crooked Vultures
    Temper Trap
    Gos is an Astronaut

By the way what's the advantage of buying a 4-day ticket as opposed to 3-day? Do bands perform on a Thursday?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,006 ✭✭✭WithCheesePlease

My one wish for oxegen?? Stop letting so many drunken, idiotic school kids in to run riot. Simple as.

No way I'd go near it the way it is now.

Julian Casablancas after his performance lastnight in The Academy.

there are some cover bands, but its basically an extra day on the piss, and getting a decent camp spot, "try camp on a hill", great advice
