Hi, I was away for the summer and my brother managed to block the DVD drive on my computer by changing the region zone 5 times. It is now stuck on region 2 (or 4, I'm not sure) and won't play most dvd's. I cannot change the region any more either as I have no changes left and it says that even if I reinstall windows, it is still blocked. Is there anyway of fixing this or is it screwed permanently?
    Thanks

This can reset the dvd region changes to 5, i had a quick look and looks fairly simple

Another option would be to download a modified firmware from this page for your drive to make it region free, afaik most dvd drives have a hacked firmware available here, if your not comfortable with this I think VLC can play region locked dvds

There is a very easy app that will sort this out for you.
Not sure if the rules allow it to be mentioned here so PM sent to get you sorted.
