Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,
I'm thinking of a used precision type machine for producing music etc. Also want to run an rc flight simulator (not as heavy as ms flight sim).

Not sure whether to go Xeon, Quad core or not - gonna have to do some research on this but any info from the knowledgable would be appreciated.
Graphics card capable of 1920x1200 is a must.

The reason I've decided to go desktop is because if I get a laptop without warranty (buying used) I'll be frigged if something breaks so I'm gonna get a desktop with standard replacable components and also a standard enough laptop - maybe a used latitude for internet usage on the go (away from studio) etc.

Anyways just wondering should I just build a machine myself or go dell precision. Also what do other manufacturers like hp for example provide to compete with the precision. I know I'm being abit lazy here but I haven't been keeping track of all the new tech developments for a while so I really have an awful lot of work ahead of me. I'm not gonna buy anything until I'm fully sure why I'm buying it. I'm willing to spend some money but I don't want to spend anymore than I need to.

    Thanks.
