Have an old house which we are renovating and thinking of putting an inset stove in. Chimney has no liner so it seems the way to go is a flexible flue attached to the stove.
THere seems to be a big variation in the price of the stoves but I'm interested in the 3 above, i.e. the stockton 7, runswick and esse. The output of the runswick is 4kw, shops say this is enough. Has anyone any experience of this one or any of the others.
Or is there any other stove that would suit the situation.

phil esse have several models of inset from 3-5kw need fireback or 350 6-7kw fireback removed. Stockton 7 is 7kw and needs fireback removed. Don't know the runswick but have only got good reports form stockton 7 and esse.
