Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

ESPN has 46 live matches this season, they're all either late Saturday, Sunday or Monday games. As far as I know the games that Setanta have are only the 3pm Saturday kick offs, and they only have 23 this season.

ESPN is around a tenner a month if you have Sky Sports, Setanta is about 15 or thereabouts regardless.

ESPN is much better in my opinion. You have to subscribe to ESPN to watch tonights United match.

Yes you have to subscribe to both channels seperately, thanks to a European Union ruling some years ago, which prevented one channel, i.e.Sky, getting all 6 packages(i think one channel can have at most 5 of the 6).
Funnily enough it was done to bring down the price of watching football, more competition etc etc.. :D:D:D:D

plus the games are in HD if you have Sky HD obviously:) So the PQ is ten times better than Setanta.

The internet is great to an extent for streaming matches but it's very unreliable. You're never guaranteed a top quality and smooth stream.

If you've got Eircom broadband you can get Setanta Ireland streaming from their website. That stream is generally good anytime I've used it.

Is it Illegal to post links to websites showing the games?
I've noticed that links to UFC on the MMA forum are taken down quickly.

Not that I've seen. The ones I watch are all posted in certain match threads.

Just keep an eye out for them

I think Setanta is more of a rip off to be honest. If I remember on one of the weekend days, they had live Premiership, live Bundesliga, live Russian league and two live Seria A games in one day. That's a pretty sweet deal. Setanta as far as I know (i quit last month) only have the 23 league games and a couple of European games here and there.

Plus ESPN comes with Classic which is great for watching old games.

well it only works out at less than 4 euro a week, less than the price of a pint in the local. If you cant afford that then dont bother:rolleyes:

Calling NTL to get ESPN is as enjoyable as trying to eat your own hand. NTL's Customer Service is fúcking ****e.
