When a moderator-ship of a forum becomes available the mod of that forum will make a request for an additional mod and recommend a candidate. That candidate's history is looked at, as is their input/interest to the forum in question. Following the criteria of "What is best for the Forum/site" the Admins will agree/disagree to the candidate.
If the candidate is suitable, they will be offered the role.
If not suitable, the forum mod will be asked to recommend a different candidate.

People shouldnt be posting more then 10 times a day to boards. Its like shouting other people down at a dinner party. It rude and eventually noone listens to what you say because you are just that loud oaf in the corner again.

My, how we've grown up :) (or not in some cases).

Sometimes you can get a modship by threatening and intimidating all other posters in the running until they wuss out completely leaving only you left in the running. That's how I got here.

Some people become mods because the best candidate declined and they had to make do with a shoddy second best.

    Its rather simple OP.

    My advice.

Spend some time reading through my post history and avoid same and you should be a shoe in

  • Registered Users Posts: 31,859 ✭✭✭✭Sharpshooter

As long as the OP is over 12 that's good advice.
