Vodafone blocking internet radio??

    I downloaded internet radio app for my n95 8gb and it works a charm over wifi but fails to connect via gprs!!

    I accepted that but i was listening to radio 5 live the other day on my computer and copied the link to use on my phone!!This DID work over GPRS and i was delighted!Then yesterday it kept saying unable to connect?Did vodafone block this??Any opinions and do other Irish networks this as well?

    Are you using the Live or the ISP APN?

    ISP would be 19c/MB (on prepay). Just wondered as it may help others diagnose your problem.

    Will try test it out myself later.

    Vodafone prepay
    Live APN without proxy
    Nokia n95 8GB
    Nokia internet radio application

    Error: "unable to connect to stream"

    Its my understanding that the Live apn has most of its ports blocked and as such is only usefull for web browsing.

    The ISP apn is more of a "jack of all trades" access point.
    I reckon if you try that apn instead it might help

    apn = isp.vodafone.ie
    username = vodafone
    password = vodafone

    ISP apn is NOT capped at 99c a day so either sign up to a monthly data plan for it or be ready for some big bills.
