I've heard so many astounding hypocritical things, mainly, but not entirely from the religious, that I couldn't possibly select one thing.

Sinn Fein/IRA and their supporters outrage and moral indignation at latter day Republican "patriots" who plant bombs and shoot PSNI officers and British soldiers (last week being a classic example). Imagine it, the nerve of them to try and blow innocent people to pieces in the name of a united Ireland or shoot cops and English squaddies from behind a ditch and then run away. Hypocrisy thy name is Gerry Adams.

Also that rag of rags The Sun newspaper. Anything and everything ever written on its sheets. Garbage and hypocrisy of the highest order.

Why doesn't anybody read the original post?

I said, it's the legal hemp shop equivalent of cocaine.

T'is what de young people are doing dese days!

Supposedly, it is the legal and totally ineffective equivalent of cocaine. It's probably raisins.

Our teacher at school telling us that if any of us smoke, then we are pretty dumb. Yet, he used to send smoke signals to England from the teacher's staffroom every lunchtime.

    Incidently...what is charge?:pac:

    I'm not sure actually. :/
I know he's doing well for him himself so I'd guess he's some kind of manager.

And liah, WTF is charge?!! :p

Ah....he's bringing 'em down from the inside. That's what I'm doing too. As I sit here relaxing after a hard 5 hours work as executive of a highly profitable company (perks include chaffeur driven Rolls, summer chalet in the Swiss Alps, trophy wife, trophy mistress and trophy g/f), I shall reveal myself as an unashamed anarchist. That is, unless share prices continue to rise at an astonishing rate which they are likely to do.:pac:

OP this is the most transperant name dropping post ever! So you were chatted up by a minor celebrity, big deal! Anne Doyle once gave me a hand job in the RTE canteen when i was doing my transition year work experience, top that!

And if you do enough charge, it certainly has an effect, i can promise you that. Tell Andy he needs to get his paws on some ketamine, its the bizz.

Why the hell would I be namedropping him? It's him ffs.. he's a joke. Which is why I took the piss out of him.

Charge does nowt, and if he's such a rockstar like he claims you'd figure he'd have something a little better than what the sixteen year olds can pick up at the corner shop.

No, because I'm not interested in him in the slightest.. I just thought it was an amusing anecdote. Jesus.

Double standards on Prostitution. ( and lapdancing / escort agencies ? )

Has anyone been prosecuted for being with an under age prostitute ?
Until recently this would have been a no-contest , go to jail , once they had the DNA evidence.

If someone is forced to work on a brothel because documents are kept then it's at best rape by proxy.

Legalise it or enforce existing laws rigorously, Either way the aim should be to protect those who are exploited and remove the criminal element. At present all we are doing it creating a lucrative market for scum and trafficers.

Probably from my own mouth tbh, telling a friend of mine that she was behaving with guys in a way that was degrading to her, then doing the exact same thing as her.....

Definitely agree with you on that one! Wanting to save the children of the Third World whilst smoking something that was probably made through child labour!

People who support the likes of Man United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, etc. (any English team at all), will scream their lungs out for their club teams and love all the players that are English (Rooney, Lampard, Gerrard, Terry, Neville, Ferdinand and Cole spring to mind).

Yet when these players are playing for England, everyone despises England and these players!

Time to grow up some??? You support English club teams and English players the whole time. Is it not time to, if not supporting them, to at least not be glad when they are beaten? (I have to admit to waking the neighbours when Croatia stopped England qualifying for Euro 2008, but then asked myself, why... Two of my favourite players, Frank Lampard and John Terry were on that team. I should support them at least!)

Sorry, I'm not really into football but I'd have to disagree with you slightly. I always get the impression the team itself (as an organisation) is the thing being supported rather than the actual players - people will support 'their' team regardless of who plays for them. If an Irish player plays for an English team, the Englishman would still support the team, and maybe praise the Irish player for his performance. But when it comes to international games, the Englishman would support the English football team (even if it included players from rival teams).

That probably made no sense :/

    Thats not necessarily true

By that token, i could love Chelsea and hate the other teams, when Lampard and Terry play i'd be hating the other 9 players.

Also, if i support Arsenal, does that mean i have to support France, Ivory Coast, Holland etc?

No, but I don't see why there is this blind hatred of the English National team from every Irish person (or the vast majority anyway). I know you support the team more than the player, but still. It's not enough that we don't support England, anymore than we do Italy, France, Germany, etc., but we are actually DELIGHTED when England do badly and/or lose. I know there is all that ''patriotic'' B.S. that people love to do and so on... but by supporting English teams, you should at least have SOME support for the National Team.

I actually like to see England do well to a point, was delighted to see them slaughter Croatia and i would like to see them do well at the World Cup, but i would HATE if they won it!

The Engliah press think that England have this God-Given right to the World Cup. They're ALWAYS out to get their managers, no matter how well they do. Sven Eriksson for example, this is from Wiki

    Notable feats as England manager

    • Germany 1-5 England World Cup qualifier 2001
    • England 1-0 Argentina 2002 World Cup
    • Improved England's FIFA World ranking from 17th place (January 2001) to 5th place (July 2006)
(highest ranking No.4 during World Cup 2006)
    • Managed to reach the quarter final in three consecutive tournaments (WC 2002, Euro 2004, WC 2006). No other European country achieved this during this period, and on an international level only Brazil. England was also, apart from Sweden, the only European country that did not suffer elimination from group play or failure to qualify during this time (2001-2006). Coincidentally, the same manager Luiz Felipe Scolari knocked England out of all three of these tournaments, first with Brazil and then twice with Portugal.
    • Achieved the highest point percentage in Major Tournament Matches of all time for an England manager.[12]
    • Lost only 3 full-time competitive games and achieved top qualifying place in all three International tournaments during his five and a half years as England manager.
    • Rated by the FA as England's 2nd most successful Manager after Sir Alf Ramsey.
And look what happened to him. I don't hate the England national team, but i hate EVERYTHING that goes with it!
