    Hi Guys

If you work half of 2008 as a paye employer and earn 26000 and pay 5K tax and then for the second half of the year you become self employed are you entitled to the paye tax credit. I always taught you were but I'm looking at details on PAYE anytime and Im only getting a personnal tax credit for 2008 and not the paye.

thanks for that, just another question for you, so if you earn
1500 gross pay for one month paye in 2008 as a nixer and all your other income as self employed director you should have a paye credit of 1500/20% = 300 on top of your personal tax credit. On the payeanytime website we have a full year paye credit but on our p60 we have only the 300 paye credit.

So my question which is correct as if I should of had the full paye credit then I overpaid 1500 and when my form 12 is submitted I'll get a rebate.

no you would only be entitled to the 300 credit as you only get the paye credit at 20% up to a max of 1830 which is the 9150 gross.

    Your p60 is correct
