Ive seen some posters around Cork advertising a Lisbon Debate. Although the poster is on that cheap cardboard, it does claim to have four big guests - including Brain Crowley MEP and Simon Coveney TD. The fly in the ointment is that its organized by the Socialist party, so I wouldn't be surprised if upon turning up I am informed Crowley and Coveney mysteriously got stuck in traffic and thus the "debate" becomes a rant by a group of No siders.

Does anyone know if this meeting is legitimate, and that all the promised guests will be there?

EDIT: The other two guests Patricia McKenna and Joe Higgins.

Yes, it is legit. I have been in contact recently with IrelandForEurope...

Friday 18th - 8pm (maybe 7:30 to get good seats!)
Debate between Brian Crowley and Simon Coveney for YES and Joe Higgins and Patricia McKenna for NO.

I don't know who actually organised it.

    Ix.

Thats the job, Id say ill head along to it.

@ei.sdraob: I would record it but as I will be away the next 2 days I wont have chance to really clear it with the organizers. Plus, my camcorder battery only lasts and hour and a half and Joe Higgins will be there so.... :D
