ooh... that's a bit unfortunate for Nikon.

Ha that is funny indeed. I just got a coolpix L100 for my birthday and it asked that question when testing it on my wife. The funny thing is, she did not look like her eyes were closed at all from the resulting photo.

God I hope it doesnt look at some photos and ask if the photo is underexposed and do you want to turn on the fill flash...

Sometimes cameras are just too "helpfull".

Ironic perhaps since Nikon is a Japanese company...not everyone has anime eyes over there :/

Want to mouth off about photography, say nice things, good things, rant about running out of batteries for your flash, praise the lovely sunset you got last night, generally do the boards meet up thing in virtual landscape, this is it.

All good thread need an upgrade.

Don't go near a playground with that setup.

    Brilliant.

Would be great to modify so that if hangs over the lens. You could fill it full of cheap meat and remote shutter it when pigeons or that got up real close...

    Hmmm.... there's a plan!

I really am struggling to find a point to this thread,

I presume you got permission from the photographer to post their picture!

    :D:D:D

Often when shooting kids I would bring along a toy, I hold it above the lens so I get their attention in my direction, this would make it much handier and is in my opinion a great idea for anyone shooting young kids.

I know this thread probably started off as a laugh but this could be very useful to some photographers to be honest.

I bet you never ever put a pez pack on your camera!

Would you not have a flash there or maybe a wireless device to fire the flash or lights?

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,503 ✭✭✭smelltheglove

lol, no I used to use a sync cable when i did the kiddie shots, but some wireless triggers have a hot shoe.

I might actually try it if i ever shoot kids again, to be honest I dont think its really my thing though
