Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    berbatov :pac:

  • Registered Users Posts: 505 ✭✭✭NightStrike

If berbatov was in any way decent utd would be ahead in this game. the space hes had is unreal. even looked to be away on the right a few mins ago only he turned like an oil tanker and bridge overtook him with ease. Could be worth a bet on owen for last goalscorer regardless of who is winning.

That bellamy challenge on anderson was worse than anderson's yellow. Thought kicking someone was letter of the law stuff too.

for **** sake ref, how can you book Anderson for his clean tackle and then let Bellamy away with a studs showing tackle into Andersons shin. A bit of consistancy please.

Also, take off Park and bring on some width either in Valencia or Nani.

lol, gotta feel for them, utd fans must have spent a fortune on travel arrangements.

well said on behalf of the Irish City Fans

Thankfully Berba missed the free header, so as to save us from a week of 'but he was offside, Utd run amazing at Old Trafford' talk.

Good spell for city here. Lots of possession.

tevez for all his effort isn't a natural goalscorer.

Beastly play from Toure, super touch from Ireland, deserved a goal.

    Tevez :pac:

    City to win 3-1!!!

I think Fletcher could be doing more in the middle, but to be honest, I think our real problem is the wings. Need Valencia or Nani on for Park, who has been utterly anonymous.

Real piece of class from Ireland there , Some drag and roll

Wait till hes joined by his brother, if rumours are true ofcourse :)

Poor finish though....which is what it ultimately comes down to. Santa cruz or Bellamy would've burried that. I'd wager Adebayor would've missed it too though. :p

    united lucky there

With the absolute greatest of respect, that isn't exactly a revelation.

Jesus, Utd have been poor. City much the better side!!

An interesting 2nd half in prospect!!

Mark Hughes should tell his players at half-time that they're not actually supposed to block their own free kicks.

He plays for the mediocre bunch of mercenaries that are f.c Barcelona.

Now theres a real football club

great first half, thought city were prob the better team. De Jong, Wright-phillips and Tevez have been excellent.

City are looking the more threatening without a doubt. Anderson and Vidic have to be careful now that they are on yellows, especially given the environment. It would be all too easy to have a rush of blood moment in this game.

It's kind of a trade off. A more clinical striker sticks that chance away a higher percentage of the time, but robs Foster and sets up the first goal a much lower percentage of the time. A Torres / Rooney type that does both is an extreme rarity - hence why those two are so valuable.

I thought we'd crumble after going one down so early (SWPs fault for not tracking Evra). The response has been superb though and we've shown good character. Delighted with Carlos so far. He's working hard and causing problems. De Jong has been the best player on the park for me though. Hasn't missed a tackle yet.

Rooney is hardly a clinical striker to be fair, he is the very definition of a streaky finisher.

Can't wait to hear Fergie's media talk after the game if City win this.:pac:
Have to say Carlos Tevez is a real work machine and would be welcomed in any team in this League.

Park off for Valencia and Nani on for Foster (Let O'shea do full back and goalkeeping to the same quality) please.

Great second half in prospect. Pressure is on United IMO.

De Jong has been very good as a few of you have already said. His breaking up of play is top notch.

Compared to Tevez, he's like Ruud.
