Saturn pad is probably your best bet if you want to use a controller.

AFAIK any controller with using a USB will work on PCs.
So xbox will work if you have wired pad or have one the charge cables. However the xbox controller isn't the best pad for street fighter.
As Kinetic said the saturn pad is good. Here's a thread on getting one cheap :

You could also consider getting an arcade stick. Most people would say that they are the best way to play a fighter, however they can be expensive and can take a while to get used to.

Also before Ropedrink gets here : Keyboard Sucks :p

I think the consensus on shoryuken.com (for whatever thats now worth) is that a keyboard is superior to a joypad, once you get over the difficult learning curve.

I have seen very good keyboard players that could give any pad or stick user a run for there money.

But on the flipside, you can play keyboard ONLY on PC.
Unless you get a custom keyboard-style controller (can be done, I saw one from Evo)

Wow. Just.....wow. That thing belongs in Minority report or something. How could that ever be useable? I like my outlandish equipment as much as the next guy, I use mad trackball mice. But thats just way over the top.

See that Leigh? Thats a REAL 17 button monstrosity! :p

Apple touchpad > trackball > mouse.

But no, I meant more like this:
    (via SRK)
    You are talking about Ryu1999...

Kiki is our resident stick builder. I think he means, he could build you a keyboard stick as his next mission impossible :p
