    You'd have to find out what 3G/HSDPA bands the US version will support before finding a friend in the US to get one for you; unless you'd be happy with EDGE speeds. If it supports the 2100 band, then you're sorted. ;)

    Obviously, you have a cost effective way of getting it here that will minimize the amount of import duty you pay, along with an EU warranty?

    I think I'll be taking him up on the offer when the N900 is released. :D

    As I understand it at the moment there is only a European model.

    The duty is a consideration. Not encouraging any law breaking behaviour of course - just thought it would be of interest here.
