Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey, I am currently unhappy with my system of storing my photos. I have a laptop, PC and a file server.

I currently only use the laptop with Adobe photoshop elements 6. Its ok, but I can't easily access these with my computer. The laptop backup's its files to the file server - synology 109j (one of these bad boys).

What do ye guys use if you are using more than one computer and want to access them from anywhere? I'd have about 30gig worth of photos at this stage.

Ideally I'd be able to upload from either the computer or laptop to the same application... Perhaps I need more hardware?

cant remember what software but Adobe have one (I used it a couple of years ago while working for an agency) ...it allowed an offline archive....which meant you could search through all your images from any computer.

I have about 5TB of images - stored chronalogically on various External Hard Drives also some back up hard drives.... I need to organise them better.

you could nearly get a couple of CF Cards and carry them around with ya.... quick bit of googling reveals that the largest CF Card could be your answer:

i have a 1tb my book network edition and it has a built in remote sharing ability, I have another 1tb usb drive plugged into that to mirror the backup. For 30gb you could use a portable hard drive with something like Lightroom doing the finding.

Just wondering what you presently find unsatisfactory with your current setup?

...maybe delete the ones you don't use? :)

I had a pretty aggressive purge recently of photos which I had absolutely no use for, but I still have 250gb+ spread over two machines.

I definitely would have a use for an archive program which would allow me to locate any given image.
