Ballyfree chicken - yuck!

I never buy Ballyfree chicken pieces- but I have often seen it in the homes of friends and family members. It is invariably pink. It's there, ready to be eaten - and pink. Hasn't anyone else noticed this? Isn't it food poisoning?! It looks disgusting anyways, I'd never eat it myself.

It could just be down a condition in the industry known as Pinking.
Pinking could be caused due to a number of reasons. I have included a link that is not too technical.
