So I thought only the 64bit versions of the MS OS would should show anything above 3.2GB RAM. I have just installed some more RAM and the OS is showing 6GB (Control Panel->System). Is it the case where Vista 32bit will show 6GB but only utilize 3.2GB of RAM....?

    Cheers

It will show the know physical RAM, not the addressable RAM.

Yup, it is only showing what is in the machine. To actually use it, you need to go 64-bit.
