Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Should've been 4 if Howard Webb had let play run on instead of calling it back for a free kick. Shambolic refereeing.

Chelsea robbed of an even more stonewall penalty. Ah well, swings and roundabouts and all that.

Andy Gray: "Chelsea and Manchester United playing today... the best two teams in the Premier League over the last 10 years or so playing opposition who believe they could challenge for top 4 this year. They've got a bit of work to do"

FFS. City have only lost one this season just like United. Ridiculous.

He went for a shot....and damaged his leg when he struck the ball. Fairly innocuous.

He kicked the ball, that's what happened!
I don't know how he managed to hurt himself...I think he just wants the attention that Bassong was getting. No one at all near him!

He shanked a shot and done his calf I think.

He couldnt walk off the pitch and was then stretchered off.

    Kalou came on for him.

I really had this down as a much tighter game. Given Spurs form at the start of this season I thought they'd put up more of a fight against this type of opposition.

Thats because your listening to the media hype. Spurs aint anything special and look ordinary without Modric.

Short memory much? If the ref does his bloody job, its 1-1 with 30 minutes to go.

Did the ref disallow a perfectly good goal or something?

    Yes. Stonewall penalty was denied.

Well from the CL semi-final we all know penalty claims = denial of victory, so Spurs were robbed. I wonder if Howard Webb will get the same treatment as Tom Henning Ovrebo..:)

No he wont. An excuse can be made for Webb because he has put himself in a bad position for viewing the foul.

No excuse could be made for Ovrebo..... he was terrible. He should have given atleast 2 penalties out of the 4 claims in that game. He bottled it.

I don't need the media to have my own opinions. I've seen Spurs two or three times so far this season and with their fantastic start with beating Liverpool on the first day I thought that maybe this could be a good year for Spurs.
They've a quality squad at their disposal and Harry Redknapp is one of their best managers for a very long time IMO.
They start games very well but their defence is very dodgy.
Need to work on their defence.

Goals change games and Spurs were robbed a good goal scoring chance in that penalty so if they had gotten an equaliser Spurs would've had a totally different mindset in the game.

They are a very good squad this year and they should do very well. Maybe not top 4 yet but I feel they should come close.
I reckon Spurs and City will be the new Everton and Villa in that they'll be battling for 5th place. :)

Nope. The Carvalho tackle from behind on Keane.

He's saying chelsea had a stonewall penalty denied also.
