Biggest HS game in state history happened up here on Friday night. Local HS Skyline led by ESPN Elite 11 MVP Jake Heaps played Oaks Christian from California led by Nick Montana (Joe' son). Joe was at the game, as was Wayne Gretzky (his son was back-up QB) and Will Smith (Trey Smith plays WR). It was celeb-tastic. Very weird for this sleepy little suburb. The place was bananas.

Trey Smith scored the first TD. Skyline were rubbish in the 1st. Came back in the second. Oaks pulled away again in the 3rd and Skyline could and should have leveled right at the death but Heaps made an error trying to force a ball when he would have been better off taking the sack. Bit of a sloppy game but exciting nevertheless. So many side stories and angles to the game I won't go into them but it made for a great bit of sport and an interesting insight into HS football at the highest level.
